About WIYC 
Western Illinois Youth Camp, formerly Western Illinois 4-H Camp, is a not-for-profit, United Way organization that is owned and operated by the Western Illinois Youth Camp Association. Our association has served West Central Illinois since 1948. Our campground is located on Lake Jacksonville, ten minutes South of Jacksonville, IL, and offers a back-to-nature setting, perfect for your next outing. Our Mission and Philosophy Our organization is committed to providing quality outdoor experiences to adults and youth. Our goal is to ensure that our facility offers programs that support the wellness of individuals, groups and our community. We strive to provide a fun, educational and healthy outdoor experience for all.

| Our Facility A variety of organizations enjoy our facility including the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4-H Clubs, family reunions, churches, schools and businesses. Click here to explore rental opportunities. Our organization also hosts youth summer camps that foster lifelong friendships, team building and prevention programming in an outdoor setting. Our camps fill quickly, so register soon. Click here to register. Our facility includes: North Campus and South Campus with 13 cabins and two bathhouses combined. Dining Hall, large and rustic with a modern, well-equipped kitchen. We can provide meals. Recreation Hall and Area, covered recreation hall with baskeball hoops, ping pong tables; open area volleyball court, backstop, and two tetherball poles. Campfire Rings and Seating, numerous locations perfect for evening time campfires, meals and entertainment. Wentz Hall, a year-round building that can sleep 30 people, has 3 bathrooms, a kitchen, large meeting room, and fireplace.
- Swimming Area, a safe shallow swimming area guarded by a floating deck, a deep swimming area, a water slide, and certified lifeguards.
- Waterfront, long stretches of waterfront for fishing, canoeing and paddle boating.
- Hiking Trails, our property is wooded with miles of trails in all directions. Some lead to fire rings, some to beautiful lakeside views and others to our Pine Forest.
- Low Ropes Course, located in our Pine Forest and is used for teambuilding, fostering teamwork and communication skills among players, coworkers and friends.

Our Camp Association The Western Illinois Youth Camp and Recreation Center Association is a collaborative partnership of businesses and individual supporters who provide both financial and physical support to our campground and our camping programs. Annual memberships in the association will ensure that campers of all ages and walks of life will benefit from the once in a lifetime, meaningful outdoor experience that our camp offers. Help maintain this facility which has served West Central Illinois since 1948. Members giving fifty dollars or more will have private access to the walking trails and self guided tours of local flora and fauna. You will also receive our semi-annual newsletter, be notified of special events at the camp and have first access to the events. | |
