Camp Safety and Security
We strive to provide the best camps we can. Camper safety is our number one priority. The best way to do this is to ensure that we have a qualified and experienced staff.
Here are a few reasons we have the best staff around.
Every staff member:
-Passes a background check.
-Is referred by a community partner.
-Has provided at least three professional references.
-Obtains a CPR and First Aid Certification.
-Has at least two years of experience.
-Has attended camp training.
-Is passionate about making a difference.
-Is excited and knowledgeable about the outdoors.
Here are a few reasons why our camp is safe and secure and allows parents to rest easy.
Our camp:
-Is secured by a locked gate and monitored 24/7/365 by our caretaker.
-Expects all staff, volunteers and visitors to sign in.
-Expects all staff, volunteers and visitors to wear identification while on site.
-Implements camper-focused rules that are introduced and reinforced throughout the camping experience.
-Provides safety skits and scenerios for campers to learn from.
-Requires supervision of youth campers at all times.
-Maintains easily accessed camper medical/health cards.
-Has a fully furnished Nurse Station.
-Employs a Health and Safety Director on site.
-Has four First Aid Stations.
-Has well developed Tornado, Fire and Emergency Plans and Procedures.
